Buying palm-leaf products for hotels and restaurants
If you are fitting out a hotel, a restaurant or an event, these are the questions that decide which pieces to choose and how to order them.
Start from the space
- Hotel rooms and spas: Marahel as a laundry basket, Sahan as an amenity tray.
- Restaurants and cafés: Qoffah for bread service, the Serving Set for nuts, Mansaf for display.
- Majlis and lobbies: Haseer for floors, Sofra for wall décor.
- Events and gifting: Mahafa, Shanta and Motabiqia.
Customization
Sizes, colors and patterns can be adjusted to match your hotel or event identity. Send us a color code or a reference image and we will suggest the closest dye and pattern.
Quantities and consistency
Because every piece is handmade, pieces can vary slightly in shade and pattern, which is part of their character. For large orders we work to one pattern and color across the whole quantity, and we recommend ordering a sample first.
Lead time
Production starts once you approve the quotation and depends on quantity and customization. Order well ahead of your opening or event date, and we will confirm the date in the quotation.
Use with food
Pieces such as the Qoffah, Sahan and Sofra are traditionally used to serve bread, dates and dry foods. For moist or oily foods we recommend a liner or serving paper.
Everyday care
- Wipe pieces with a dry cloth after use.
- Store them somewhere dry and well ventilated.
- Keep them away from water and long hours of direct sun.
