About Sarayan
Sarayan is a trading establishment that designs, produces and supplies pieces of Al-Ahsa heritage. We work especially with hospitality establishments — hotels, restaurants and events — supplying them with innovative heritage products.

How a piece is made
Fronds
Palm fronds are gathered from the Al-Ahsa oasis, dried and split into strips of khoos.
Dyeing
Part of the khoos is dyed in the colors the pattern calls for.
Weaving and coiling
Strips are plaited into long bands and sewn together, or coiled around bundles of fiber for coiled pieces.
Finishing
Handles and lids are added, and every piece is checked before delivery.
